Ram 1500 Flex Fuel capable 4.7-liter SOHC V8 Ram 1500's available 4.7-liter SOHC V8 is designed to run on conventional unleaded gasoline or E85 (85 percent ethanol, 15 percent gasoline) or any blend of the two.This allows you to take advantage of cleaner-burning E85 alternative fuel wherever it's available.

Integrated trailer hitch Ram 1500's competitors are content with the status quo. Messy, dangling trailer hitch wires are the norm. We have a better way. All Ram models include a four-way trailer hitch wiring harness and connector with a convenient plug-in connection integrated into the rear bumper.

Ram 1500 Hydroformed frame
Hydroformed frame construction increases dimensional accuracy by reducing the amount of welding, which tends to cause distortion. The frame has fully-boxed side rails to achieve stiffness and impact strength while reducing weight. Also, the serviceable front frame rail tips with patented crush initiators are designed to help absorb frontal impacts.

Ram 1500 comprehensive brake system includes Antilock Brake System and Electronic Stability Control, which is comprised of several brake subsystems: Brake Assist, All-Speed Traction Control, Hill Start Assist, and Trailer Sway Control.

Selecting 4x4 is as easy as turning a dial.The 4-HI setting locks both drive shafts for extra grip and pulling power to give you confident handling on slippery, wet and graveled terrain. For the meanest grounds out there, the 4-LO position delivers a 2.72:1 gear reduction ratio for stump ripping, mountain climbing grip and power. The multi-link coil suspension provides outstanding rear suspension articulation so you can go off-roading practically anywhere you want, when you want, with less risk of getting hung up or bottoming out.
